More great kisses

I love Top Gun.
My favorite part is right after Charlie tells Maverick she's fallen for him. He doesn't know what else to say...he just knows that he's gotta kiss her.
The rest of the mushy stuff after the kiss just seems unnecessary.
Sometimes a kiss is all you need.

Big kisses to all of you who are wishing they were being kissed tonight!

Daniela's Fashion Battle...

The Fashion Battle which goes on inside my head...
On one side of the ring, we have the mighty, the legendary, the feared and revered "Style," who is characterized by gorgeous fabrics, trends, heels and fitted pants. On the other side, we have the "Comfort" who is characterized by loose fitting sweatpants, hoodies, t-shirts and dreaded Uggs!
Now, despite a love for clothing, style, art and all things beautiful and creative, in the ring of Daniela's mind...after a good battle, Comfort seems to knock Style to the ground on a daily basis.
Here are some statistics to explain this curious phenomenon:

Well, the numbers are there...
Then, of course, there is that loathsome hymn which pops into our heads whenever we WISH that Style would prevail before a night on the town, a party, a holiday gathering (Christmas cough cough), Prom (another curious phenomenon in which neither Style nor Comfort seem to ever win...somehow) or just a day when you want to look as good as you feel.

"I have nothing to wear!"

Still, I have to admit...even when I go out lookin' like sh*t...somehow, I always feel like this...

Because as much as fashion, style and make-up make you look like a goddess...it's how beautiful and strong you are no matter what you're wearing that really counts. For the holidays, the best gift you can give yourself is to treat yourself like a Queen! (or King?)

What is a woman?

"Completamente irresistibile"
I watched "Ieri, oggi e domani" (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow) with Sofia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni again today. Although I have to admit it isn't my favorite, I absolutely love Italian films! No one can act like an Italian can act--expression is in their nature.
But besides all that--THIS SHOT OF SOFIA LOREN IS GLORIOUS! The woman could seduce a door knob!

The ABC's of Lil' Ol' Me

I found this on Quite Cheeky and had to share. How would you draw out the ABC's of your life, experiences and interests? I, for one, would replace the "I" with a little drawing of Italia! Click the image to make it bigger.

"You get used to the pain
And numb to the sting

Til you can't feel anything.
"

"Did I say something stupid?
There goes one more mistake.

Do I bore you with my problems?

Is that why you turn away?
"

How do you know when to draw lines? You don't know how sick I am of always being the one with the effed up relationships.. or lack thereof. There must be something wrong with me. There has to be some reason for all this failure.

Let's be honest here...

...for many of us, this is the only appropriate holiday card to send out this year.

I found this on one of my favorite blogs Plush Palate and had to blog about it as well. I've always wanted to send out holiday cards but something always comes up and I don't. This one is too funny to resist!

You can buy them at the ABCD Design's Etsy Store!

Daniela says: "Make your own world"

When I saw this photo, I fell in love. This is how I imagine my life. Feminine, beautiful, full of lovely surprises. I want to have an apartment like this one day and live in it with my sister and my girl friends. Part of me wants to just keep beautifully wrapped up gifts around the house as decor sometimes--even if they are empty! And that chaise with the canopy, the painting in the background, the high ceilings, the colors--everything that I live for! Granted, I have a weakness for modern Italian furnishings but I think my truly heart rests here, in a place where any woman would feel like a queen (I find that so often we don't).
--Oh my word! Before finishing up this post, I decided to Google Imaged Chris Everard. To get you in the spirit of the holidays (or shoe shopping--like any of us need inspiration for that!):

OK, I am totally going crazy for this next photo...BE my life!

Not enough for you? Well I just found this...SarahKaye.com. See you all soon, I'm about to go check that link out and indulge in some fantasies! Raspberry tarts anyone?

Daniela Loves Lingerie {I}

This drawing is just adorable!!!!!!
And so it begins...
My first blog (of many, I'm sure) on lingerie! I just love everything about it. Lace, silk, high waist, low waist, stockings, cutesy, pin-up styles, polka dots, pink, black...even good old cotton. Sometimes simple, sometimes embellished --there's something for every mood. I wish I could just wear pants and bra or a shirt and underwear...paired of course with some nice shoes and jewelry...and a big faux fur coat in the winter.

Speaking of lingerie--Tonight is the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on CBS! Unfortunately, I won't be watching it tonight, but I will save it on my DVR until I can get some girls over.

P.S. If you click the photo it will expand and you can see all the adorable details! If someone knows the artist please let me know!

Daniela says: I need you in my life

"Yes, please!"

That's all I have to say about that!
